Medicare and Medicaid

Loading...

Are you prepared for the future? While Medicare and Medicaid can provide some long-term care benefits, many people are under the misconception that these Federal and State programs will take care of all their long-term care needs. Unfortunately, the reality is somewhat different.

Medicare

Medicare pays in full for the first 20 days in a skilled nursing facility. For the next 80 days, a co-pay is required. The co-pay for 2011 is $141.50/day. After 100 days, Medicare no longer pays benefits.

Medicaid
To qualify for Medicaid coverage, you must be what the government considers "impoverished." That means you'll only get the coverage you need by "spending down" the assets you've spent a lifetime building.

Fortunately, there is another answer. Long-term care insurance from CNB Insurance Agency. We have a wide range of coverage options and programs for you to choose from, so make sure you talk with one of our helpful insurance professionals soon.
