History shows that as enrollment increases, so does the price.   

Over the last ten years (2003-2013), prices for tuition, room, and board have increased significantly:

  • Public institutions increased 34%
  • Private (not-for-profit) institutions increased 25%

College enrollment reached record levels in 2010, and over the ten-year period of 2003-2013, enrollment increased by 20%.

  • Enrollment is expected to set new records, projecting to rise 13% over the next decade (2013-2024, students under age 25).
