We recommend that you should be very proactive about protecting your personal information. So we have partnered with Generations Gold to offer our Optimum and e-ssentials customers Identity Theft Restoration Services and the Identity Protection and Security Center.
Both services are free, but you are required to sign up for the Identity Protection and Security Center, which will become effective 10 business days after activation. More details.
What you can do for yourself...

Additionally, if you have not already, please be sure to order a free copy of your credit report. You are entitled to receive one of each of the main three agencies’ reports annually. You will need to request this either by phone or mail:

You may choose to request all three of these reports at once, or you may choose one and then wait a few months to run another and so on. This way you will actually be checking your credit three times per year at no cost.
