Online Banking Tip of the Day: Process for Adding an External Account for Transfers

Did you know the Online Banking Center allows you to make transfers to an account you own at another financial institution?  Once you complete a onetime, two-step initial process, you will be able to schedule transfers between your CNB account(s) and your external account.
How:  Step 1: from the ‘Transactions’ menu, select ‘Add External Account’.  Complete the information on this page and press ‘Continue’ to send two small-value deposits to your external account, usually within 2-3 days.  Once the deposits are made to your external account, follow step 2 to verify the deposits within 14 daysStep 2: from the ‘Transactions’ menu, select ‘Verify External Account’, and then press ‘Continue’ to retrieve your list of external account requests.  Follow the instructions to enter the exact amounts of the deposits made from Step 1 to your external account.  When you have completed both steps successfully you can transfer funds with your external account using the ‘Funds Transfer’ option in both the Online Banking Center and the Mobile Banking App.
