Canandaigua National Bank (CNB) is the presenting sponsor for the American Red Cross of West Ontario County’s Twilight Run/Walk event. CNB has been the presenting sponsor of the event since the very first race, back in 2012. Proceeds from this event will benefit the local Red Cross chapter. A team of CNB employees will be running in the race, and a number of employees have volunteered to help with registration at the race.
The 3rd annual Twilight Run/Walk event is set to take place on July 31, 2014, and will have some new features and a new site. This year’s run will be held at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park, which will be open to participants before and after the race. In the past this event only featured a 5K, and this year runners can choose to participate in either the 5K or a 10K. A portion of the proceeds from the 10K will benefit The Partnership of Ontario County.
Registration for the run begins at 5 p.m., the 10K race to take off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the 5K at 7 p.m. There will be cash prizes given to top male and female finishers in both races, as well as, medals for the top 3 finishers in each age group. Live music, food, and drink will be provided at the post-race party. Food and drinks will be provided by local vendors. Non-racers can attend the post-race party for a small fee.
