Mandrino and Lopez Nominated for Canandaigua ATHENA Awards

Vicki Mandrino and Marie Lopez have been selected as nominees for the 33rd Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Awards. Vicki has been nominated for the ATHENA Leadership Award, which is awarded to individuals who:
  • Have achieved the highest level of professional excellence. 
  • Contribute time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community. 
  • Actively assist others, particularly women, in realizing their full leadership potential.
Marie has been nominated for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award, which is awarded to individuals who:
  • Are an emerging woman leader, 40 years of age or younger.
  • Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in her business or profession.
  • Provides valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in her community.
  • Serves as a role model for young women both personally and professionally.
Vicki Mandrino is Senior Vice President, Compliance Officer for Canandaigua National Bank and Trust (CNB). She began her career with CNB in 1980 in the CNB Trust Department, where she advanced to Manager of the Trust Department administrative staff before transferring to the newly formed Resource Recovery Department. After working as a Legal Assistant to in-house counsel in the bank’s Legal Department, she assumed the role of Compliance Officer.

Vicki has been a member of the bank’s Project Steering Committee since 2005, she is a recipient of the Arthur S. Hamlin Award for Excellence, and she participated in the CNB Executive Leadership Program during 2009 and 2010.
Vicki has been a role-model for colleagues and an inspiration to women who aspire to grow in their chosen field. She successfully completed her bachelor’s degree at RIT while caring for family members, working full-time, and supporting her community. Demonstrating the value of education and encouraging others to strive for the completion of their own goals is an example of the leadership Vicki has shown in her professional career.
During her education she was also named RIT Outstanding Adult Student in May of 2012. The award recognizes adult students and their achievements in successfully combining full-time college study with other adult responsibilities of family, career and community service.
Vicki has devoted many hours to meetings, event planning, fundraising, organizing and improving outcomes for those organizations she champions. Those organizations include: Thompson Health Guild – Board Member, Hochstein at Canandaigua – Community Advisory Board Member, Canandaigua City Schools, Saint Benedict’s Parish, and the CNB Wellness Committee.
Marie Lopez is a Business Banking Officer within the Business Banking Unit of CNB. She began her career in 2014 in the retail banking side of CNB. Marie has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Marketing from St. John Fisher College.
Her dedication to her professional leadership extends to helping to coach her retail colleagues improve their knowledge of the commercial lending industry. She leads by example and goes out of her way to help her teams succeed. She goes over and above with customers; looking for opportunities to help customers and prospects with their daily banking needs.
Marie is the Marketing Director for the Farmington Chamber of Commerce. She is also a part of the Committee to select the Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month. She supports the Chamber of Commerce by acting as media coordinator for managing their Facebook. Marie volunteers for the Octoberfest /Farmington Family Fun Festival which is Chamber sponsored. She has been a volunteer for the AMVETS Golf Tournament the last 2 years.
Marie is also a member of the Farmington-Victor Kiwanis, and was a Board Member for 2 years. She volunteers for the event “Evening of Great Taste” sponsored by Kiwanis. She volunteers for the Spirit of Giving Dinner, Kiwanis Golf Tournament, Back the Blue-fund raiser for state troopers benefiting a family member, and for Run, Walk and Roll for Cobblestone Arts Center.
The 33rd annual award gala will be held Friday, November 17th 2017, at the Finger Lakes Community College Student Center.
