The Challenge for Children 2013 Campaign raised $157,296 that United Way will put toward programs for youth in Ontario County.
The United Way of Ontario County announced the success of the campaign resulted from the generosity of Canandaigua National Bank and the community. The bank supported the United Way of Ontario County by offering a fundraising challenge to boost of the Community Fund. For every new or increased gift to the Community Fund, Canandaigua National Bank matched the donation up to $30,000.
The CNB Challenge for Children this year had 820 new donors raising $113,584 and 186 donors increasing their 2012 donations by $13,712. These donations included with the CNB Challenge for Children Match equaled $157,296.
United Way uses the donations to the Community Fund toward helping fund programs that address the most pressing needs of youth in the community.
