Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can create an alert for someone’s birthday? This is a helpful tool to receive messages for activity/changes to your accounts and important dates, like birthdays.
How: From the ‘Preferences’ menu, select ‘Alert Options’ to view your list of alerts. To create a birthday alert, select ‘Add Alert’ from the toolbar and choose ‘New Date Alert’ in the drop-down list to open a pop-up window. Under ‘Alert Criteria’, select the ‘Month’ and ‘Day’, then choose ‘Birthday’ for the ‘Category’. The ‘Note’ field is not required, but useful to help remind you of details for date alerts. Under ‘Notification Frequency’, choose ‘Notify me annually’ for the date alert to recur each year. You can also create a date alert for a one-time occurrence on a specific date. Under ‘Notification Preferences’, choose the ‘Type’ for how you want to receive the alert. Alerts are always sent to your secure online banking mailbox and you can additionally receive an email, call or text, depending on the preference you select. When finished, press ‘OK’.
