Online Banking Tip of the Day: Recurring Funds Transfer

Did you know you can schedule a recurring transfer in online banking?
How:  To initiate a recurring funds transfer, click on ‘Funds Transfer’ from the Transactions area of the Main Menu.  Enter your Transfer Information as requested.  To continue with set up for a recurring transfer, expand the ‘Enter Transfer Frequency’ window by clicking on the expand button (square) located to the far right.  You will then indicate your frequency preferences.  For example, if you wish to transfer $25 every Friday, for the month of March, from your Household Checking account to your Household Savings account here are the steps you would follow: Enter your transfer information by indicating ‘From’ Household Checking 'To' Household Savings, enter 25.00 for the ‘Total Transfer’.  Then, click on the expand button to select ‘Recurring’, and Weekly for ‘Frequency’.  The system will default to Initiate the transfer every week unless you select otherwise.  Select Friday for the ‘Recur By’ day, enter 3/1/2012 for the ‘Start Date’, select ’End on’ and enter 3/31/2012.  Click ‘Submit’ and ‘OK’, the details for the recurring transfer you just created are now displayed for you to review, if everything is accurate click on ‘Approve’ and ‘OK’ to authorize this recurring transfer.
