A Message from our President and CEO, Frank Hamlin, III
We are excited to share with you our updated brand! These updates come after years of thoughtful and deliberate research, including brand review, research, and feedback from internal and external stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and focus groups.
Our new, fresh visual identity matches our energy and reflects the bold, modern organization we are today - one that is committed to forward progress, which has been the hallmark of Canandaigua National Bank since we first opened in 1887.
What hasn’t changed about our brand are all the great things that make us, US!
We remain a bank for the Community with a full range of financial services, making decisions locally and providing solutions in real time. We’re driven by a do-what’s-right philosophy and will continue to go above and beyond for our customers. And as always, we will continue to reinvest our success back into the local economy.
We understand that you may have questions, and we’re here to answer them! If your question is not addressed below, feel free to contact a bank representative.
Why is this happening now?
Canandaigua National Bank has continuously evolved throughout its history, and that includes its branding. Even in the most recent 30 plus years, we have changed colors, names, and shapes of our logos. Recently, when reflecting upon our growth as an institution, we recognized that we had an opportunity to refresh our brand and to better reflect the organization we are today.
We are in the fortunate position that our brand is strong, but we recognized there was opportunity for us. Unlike other financial institutions’ name changes, OUR change is by choice and not a result of, or prelude to, any merger, acquisition, or change in ownership. Our leadership structure is stable and well-established, and we’re excited about the growth to come, including our forthcoming expansion into the Syracuse, NY area.
Are there any changes to the bank’s contact information, like phone numbers, website address or employee email addresses?
No.
All contact information for Canandaigua National Bank facilities and employees will remain the same. The updated brand will not include changes to the website URL or employee email addresses.
Will the bank’s routing number change?
No.
Our updated brand does not impact the routing number for Canandaigua National Bank.
Do I need to get new checks or debit cards?
No.
You don’t need to get new checks or debit cards, as your existing checks and cards will continue working as normal. However, As these items are reordered, the reissues will be updated with our new branding.
Do I need to update the mobile app?
No.
We’ll update the branding elements of our mobile app, but you will not need to download a new app.
Will logos, names, and signage change all at once?
No.
You may experience both old and new logos for the next 18-24 months as we move through the necessary updates. With 25 branches in two counties and more on the way, signage will take time to update. You will see changes over the coming weeks and months across digital platforms, communications, and other related products and services.
If you have a question or concern when visiting one of our online services, feel free to reach out to a bank representative to verify.
Do you still offer Trust services?
Yes!
Trust services are a vital part of our financial services offering, and that is not going away. We have the finest team of trust professionals in the region, and the service they provide is second-to-none. This offering provides customers with immense value and is a natural extension of our wealth management services.
Will the names and logos of the subsidiaries and branded services change as well?
Yes!
Our subsidiaries will continue to share the emblem of the bank – so they will update to use the new emblem! Their names will also be updated to align with the bank name update. But while they are changing, they will feel very familiar!
- CNB Insurance Agency will officially update to Canandaigua National Insurance Solutions, with the logo including simply Canandaigua National Insurance.
- Canandaigua National Trust Company will keep its name as is, since it already leverages the Canandaigua name and will only update its emblem.
- Canandaigua Investment Services will also keep its name as is as it already leverages the Canandaigua name and will only update its emblem.
- Canandaigua National Corporation will keep its name but will no longer use an emblem.
Will there be any interruptions to services as these updates are made?
We will be making updates to multiple banking platforms, including branches, online banking, our mobile app, and our ATMs. To minimize service interruptions, we’re carefully planning for those updates to occur during regularly scheduled maintenance of those various platforms.
If an interruption is anticipated, we’ll share those details in advance to ensure customers have access to what they need.
