Online Banking Tip of the Day: Process to Add a Person as a Payee in CNBillPay Using Only Their Email Address
Did you know with CNBillPay you can add a person as a payee using only their email address?  This method is perfect for when you want to add an individual to electronically send money to, if you don’t have their bank routing number and account number, but you have their email address.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Payees’ menu, select ‘Add a Payee’.  Select the radio button for ‘Add a Person’, answer the challenge response and press ‘Submit’.  Enter the information (all that is required is the payee’s name and email address) and proceed through the process.  As part of the process, you will create a ‘Keyword’ and you will need to communicate the keyword to the person you are adding.  CNBillPay will send an email to that person and they will use the keyword as verification before they enter in their account information.  Once this initial process is complete, they will be available in your payee list for electronic payments.
