Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Mobile App to Cancel a Pending Funds Transfer

Did you know you can use the CNB Mobile App to cancel a pending transfer?  This is a convenient option for when you are on the go and have a transfer you previously scheduled, but now want to cancel.
How:  Log in to the app and navigate to view your pending transfers.  Locate the transfer you want to cancel.  Select the transfer to view the details and verify it is the one you want to cancel.  If it is, press ‘View in Activity Center.’  The transfer will be expanded in the ‘Activity Center’ to show the details and you may need to scroll to see it.  In the top right of the details, in red is ‘Actions.’  Tap ‘Actions’ to open a drop-down list.  Select ‘Cancel’ and ‘Confirm’ to receive confirmation that the transfer is cancelled.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Mobile App to Schedule a Recurring Funds Transfer

Did you know you can use the CNB Mobile App to schedule a recurring transfer?  This is useful for loan payments or any transfer you want to recur on a set schedule.
How:  Log in to the app and navigate to the ‘Funds Transfer’ screen.  Select a ‘From’ account, ‘To’ account, and enter the ‘Amount.’  Tap the box for ‘Make this a recurring transaction’ to place a checkmark in the box.  Select ‘How Often Should This Transfer Repeat’ and choose a ‘Frequency.’  Select the ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date.’  When you are ready, press ‘Transfer Funds’ to receive confirmation that your series is scheduled.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Mobile App to View Your List of Scheduled Transfers

Did you know with the CNB Mobile App there is a quick way to view your list of scheduled transfers?  This is a convenient way to check what you have for scheduled transfers in order to see if you need to make adjustments.
How:  Log in to the app and navigate to the ‘Funds Transfer’ screen.  On the top right of the ‘Funds Transfer’ screen, tap ‘Activity.’  Select ‘Pending’ to view a list of the transfers you have scheduled to occur.  Each transfer has the amount, date and transaction number.  Select a transfer to view more information.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Two Ways to Navigate to Funds Transfer in the Mobile App

Did you know there are two different ways you can navigate to the ‘Funds Transfer’ screen in the CNB Mobile App?  Depending on the screen you are navigating from, you may find it easier to use one method over the other.
How:  Log in to the app. 1) From the ‘Home’ screen, on the top right, you can tap ‘More’ and then select ‘Transfer Money Now’ to go to the ‘Funds Transfer’ screen.  2) You can also, from any screen on the top left, tap ‘Menu.’  From the menu, select ‘Transactions’ to expand the menu and select ‘Funds Transfer.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Mobile App to Add CNB Accounts to Your Login ID

Did you know you can use the CNB Mobile App to add CNB accounts, that you are an owner/signer on, to your login ID?  This is useful for having all of your CNB accounts available to you online, including accounts you did not originally enroll in online banking and accounts you have opened since.
How:  Log in to the app.  On the ‘Home’ screen, tap ‘Menu.’  Select ‘Services’ to expand the menu and select ‘Add/Delete Account.’  Select the radio button for ‘Add,’ enter the ‘Account #,’ select the ‘Account Type,’ and press ‘Continue.’  Your request will be processed within 1-2 business days.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Assign Categories to Unassigned Payees in CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can view your unassigned payees and assign categories to them?  Assigning categories to your payees will help keep them organized and create efficiency.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  Press the ‘My Account’ tab and from the ‘Payee categories’ box, select ‘View Categories.’  If you have payees without categories, ‘Unassigned’ will be listed as a category.  Select ‘Edit’ from the ‘Actions’ column for ‘Unassigned.’  Listed are your payees that you have not selected a category for yet.  Use the drop-down menu to select a category for each payee and then press ‘Submit.’  If you have not already added a category you want to use, add the category and then return to your unassigned payees to select the category you added.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Help for when You Forget a Response to a CNBillPay Challenge Phrase

Did you know help is available when you have forgotten the response to one of your CNBillPay challenge phrases?  This is helpful if you are unable to continue because you do not remember your response to the challenge phrase that is presented to you.
How:  The Customer Call Center is available 7 days a week.  For assistance, send a message using ‘Messages’ within the Online Banking Center or call (585) 394-4260 or (800) 724-2621, weekdays 8am-8pm and weekends 9am-1pm.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Search Your CNBillPay Payees in the Mobile App

Did you know you can search your CNBillPay payees within the CNB Mobile App?  This is useful if you have many payees and want to quickly locate a specific one.
How:  Log in to the app.  On the ‘Home’ screen, tap ‘Menu.’  Select ‘Transactions’ to expand the menu and select ‘CNBillPay.’  Your payees will appear alphabetically.  At the top of the screen is a field to ‘Search Payees.’  Enter a payee name to search.  As you type your list will adjust to only display payees that have a name containing the characters you have entered.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Add Categories for Your Payees in CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can add categories for the purpose of assigning payees to them?  Using categories will help organize your payees and make for a more efficient bill pay session.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  Press the ‘My Account’ tab and from the ‘Payee categories’ box, select ‘Add new category.’  Create a ‘Category’ name and press ‘Submit’ to add the new category to your list.  To add more categories, press ‘Add Category’ and repeat the process.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Maintaining Your Challenge Phrases in CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can maintain your challenge phrases?  Challenge phrases are used within CNBillPay for additional security.  It is good to have phrases that the responses are easy for you to remember, but are not known by others.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  Press the ‘My Account’ tab and from the ‘Security Information’ box, select ‘Add/Remove challenge phrases.’  Enter your response to the challenge phrase presented and press ‘Submit.’  To ‘Add a challenge phrase’, select a phrase, create your response, and press ‘Submit.’  To remove a phrase, press ‘Remove’ to the right of that phrase.  The option to remove a phrase is not available unless you have created more than four phrases.  You are required to have at least four phrases at all times.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Choose the CNBillPay Alerts you want to Receive

Did you know in CNBillPay you can choose which alerts you want to receive?  This option allows you to select what notifications you want to receive and how.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  Press the ‘My Account’ tab and from the ‘Bill pay alerts’ box, select ‘View Alerts.’  Most alerts can go to the email and/or the mobile number listed.  Place a checkmark in the box for each alert you want to receive.  If you do not have a mobile number listed and wish to receive alerts via text, you will have to first add a text number.  When you are ready, press ‘Update.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Add Text Number to CNBillPay for Alerts and Reminders

Did you know in CNBillPay you can add your text number?  This enables you to add the option to receive an alert or reminder by text instead of only email.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  Press the ‘My Account’ tab and from the ‘Personal Information’ box select ‘View/Edit personal information.’  Scroll down to ‘Short text for mobile devices.’  ‘Select your provider,’ enter your ‘Mobile number,’ and press ‘Submit.’ You will now have the option of mobile text when you set up alerts and reminders.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Mobile App to Enroll in Text Banking

Did you know you can now enroll in Text Banking by using the CNB Mobile App?  This enables you to activate another banking on-the-go option directly from your smartphone.
How:  Log in to the app.  On the ‘Home’ screen, tap ‘Menu.’  Select ‘Preferences’ to expand the menu and select ‘Text Enrollment.’  View the ‘Terms and Conditions.’  Tap the Off switch to change it to On.  Enter your ‘SMS Text Number,’ place a checkmark next to ‘Agree to Terms’ and then press ‘Save.’  Tap ‘Visit Preferences’ to configure your text accounts.  Tap ‘Enabled’ to place a checkmark in the box for each account you want enabled for text banking.  For each enabled account, create a 4-character display name and enter a value for the order that account should be listed.  When you are ready scroll down and press ‘Submit.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Deposit Holiday Checks from the Comfort of Your Home

Did you know you can use the CNB Mobile App to deposit a check into your CNB account?  Once you have enrolled and enabled the ‘Mobile Check Deposit’ option, you can deposit holiday checks at your convenience from the comfort of your home.
How:  Log in to the app.  On the ‘Home’ screen, tap ‘Menu.’  Select ‘Transactions’ to expand the menu and select ‘Mobile Check Deposit.’  (If ‘Mobile Check Deposit’ is not a listed, you must first enroll)  Select a ‘To Account’ and enter the ‘Amount’ of the check being deposited.  Tap ‘Capture Image’ and take an image of the front and back of the check.  When you are ready tap ‘Submit Deposit.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Easily Return to the Home Screen from an Account’s Details Screen

Did you know there is an easy way to return to the ‘Home’ screen in the CNB Mobile App when you are on the details screen for an account?  This allows for only one tap, as opposed to two taps if using the menu, on your smartphone.
How:  Log in to the app.  On the ‘Home’ screen, tap on the account you want to view transactions and details for.  At the top of the ‘Account Details’ screen, tap the arrow in front of the account’s name to return to the ‘Home’ screen.
