Online Banking Tip of the Day: Print a Copy of an e-statement
Did you know you can print a copy of any e-statement you have in the Online Banking Center?  With e-statements you have your statements available to you online and, if you want, you can always print a hard copy.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Services’ menu, select ‘View e-Statements’.  When you have the statement you want to print displayed, hover over the bottom of the e-statement to bring up the PDF toolbar and select the printer icon.  Then follow the steps to print for your computer.  The display and options for PDFs can vary depending on your computer.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View Only Debit Card Purchases in an Account’s Register
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can select to display only debit card purchases in an account’s register?  There are multiple search options available and the ‘Description’ search is perfect for displaying only transactions that have a description containing the characters you enter.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and go to the register for the account you want to use.  Select ‘Search’ from the left side of the account register toolbar to view the ‘Search Criteria’ drop-down list.  From the list choose ‘Description’.  Enter Point Of Sale Withdrawal in the ‘Description’ field and then press ‘Submit’.  The register for the selected account will now be displaying only purchases made with a debit card.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View a Summary of Actions Since your Previous CNBillPay Session
Did you know with CNBillPay you can view a summary of actions that have occurred since your last session?  This is a simplified list to show you what has taken place since the last time you accessed CNBillPay, and is one of the nice features the ‘Home’ page offers.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center and navigate to the ‘Home’ page.  If the ‘Home’ page is your default start page you are already there.  Otherwise you can get to the ‘Home’ page from any page by pressing ‘home’, located on the top right, under ‘view demo’.  There are four sections on the ‘Home’ Page, the bottom left section is ‘Since you last logged in…’.  In this section transactions that processed are listed first, followed by reminders that were sent.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View an Image of the Front of a Check you Wrote
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can view an image of the front of a check you wrote that has posted against your account?  This is a convenient way for you to view check details, such as the date it was written, who it was payable to, and what was in the memo line.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and go to the register for the account the check was written from.  Checks that have posted will be listed in the register with an icon of a magnifying glass to the left of the transaction description.  Click the icon to open a pop-up window with the image of the front of the check.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use Text Banking to Make a Transfer
Did you know with Text Banking you can make a transfer between any of your enabled accounts?  This is the quickest and easiest way to make an instant funds transfer between two of your CNB accounts.
How:  For example, if you want to transfer $100.00 from your savings account with the short name ‘SAV1’ to your checking account with the short name ‘CHK1’.  Text XFER SAV1 CHK1 100.00 to 226563 and instantly receive a confirmation text message that the transfer is complete along with the up-to-date balances for both accounts involved.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Process for Adding an Account at Another Financial Institution for Transfers
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can add an account you own at another financial institution to make transfers?  Once you complete a two-step initial process, you will be able to schedule transfers between your CNB account(s) and your external account.
How:  Step 1: from the ‘Transactions’ menu, select ‘Add External Account’.  Complete the information on this page and press ‘Continue’ to send two small-value deposits to your external account, usually within 2-3 business days.  Once the deposits are made to your external account, follow step 2 to verify the deposits within 14 days. Step 2: from the ‘Transactions’ menu, select ‘Verify External Account’, and then press ‘Continue’ to retrieve your list of external account requests.  Follow the instructions to enter the exact amounts of the deposits made from Step 1 to your external account.  When you have completed both steps successfully you can transfer funds with your external account using the ‘Funds Transfer’ option in the Online Banking Center and the ‘Transfer Money’ option in the CNB Mobile App.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Search for a Check Using the Check Number
Did you know in the Online Banking Center one of the many search options is to search by check number?  This option is nice for locating a specific check, to verify it has posted to your account and review details of the transaction.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and go to the register for the account you want to use.  Select ‘Search’ from the left side of the account register toolbar to view the ‘Search Criteria’ drop-down list.  From the list choose ‘Check Number’, enter the ‘Check Number’ and press ‘Submit’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Receive a Text Message with Up-To-Date Balances for All Accounts
Did you know with Text Banking you can receive a text message that lists up-to-date balances for all of your accounts?  This simple text command is helpful when you want to view balances for all of your accounts, to see if you need to make a transfer.
How:  Text BAL to 226563 and receive a text message with balances for all of the accounts you enabled for Text Banking.  Accounts will be listed by their account short names with the available and current balance, in the order that you established in ‘Account Preferences’ for ‘Text Accounts’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Add Additional Accounts as Payment Sources in CNBillPay
Did you know with CNBillPay you can add additional accounts as payment sources?  This is a nice feature that enables you to add more than one of your CNB checking accounts to CNBillPay, giving you the option to choose which account you want to make a payment from.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Options’ menu select ‘Pay From Accounts’.  On the left, under ‘View Options’, select ‘Add Account’.  Create an ‘Account Nickname’, enter your CNB checking ‘Account Number’, ‘Confirm Account Number’, (‘Account Type’ cannot be changed from ‘Checking’, since only your CNB checking accounts can be added) and then press ‘Next’.  Review the information and press ‘Submit Account’.  Accounts will be listed in ‘Pending Accounts’ and will move to ‘Active Accounts’, within three business days, once verified.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Text Banking, Not Case Sensitive
Did you know that Text Banking is not case sensitive?  This makes it easier and quicker for you to enter commands and account short names, without adjusting between upper and lower case characters.
How:  For example, if you have an account with the short name ‘CHK1’ and you want the balance for that account.  You can text BAL CHK1 to 226563, or bal chk1, or Bal Chk1, or any other variation in case.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Save a Digital Copy of an e-statement
Did you know you can save a digital copy of an e-statement?  This allows you to store your electronic statements offline and go beyond the 18 months that are maintained in the Online Banking Center.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Services’ menu, select ‘View e-Statements’.  When you have the statement you want to save displayed, hover over the bottom of the e-statement to bring up the PDF toolbar and select the disk icon.  Create a file name, select where you want to save the file and press ‘Save’.  The display and options for PDFs can vary depending on your computer.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Print Text Banking Commands for Your Reference
Did you know you can print your own card of Text Banking commands?  This is a useful card that lists all of the commands and their functions, which you can carry in your wallet for reference.
How:  Go to CNBank.com/TextBanking and toward the bottom of the page is a link to the ‘Printable Text Banking Wallet Card with Commands’.  Press the link to open the PDF and follow the steps to print for your computer.  Once printed, cut along the border and fold to have your text banking commands with you when needed.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Display Account Transactions for a Specific Date Range
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can select to display account transactions that took place during a date range?  There are multiple search options available and the ‘Range of Dates’ search is perfect for when you only want to focus on transactions that took place during a specific timeframe, such as January 1, 2015 – January 31, 2015.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and go to the register for the account you want to view.  Select ‘Search’ from the left side of the account register toolbar to view the ‘Search Criteria’ drop-down list.  From the list choose ‘Range of Dates’, then choose a ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’.  Once the range is entered, press ‘Submit’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Enable an Account for Text Banking
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can enable an account for Text Banking? This is helpful for when you have already enrolled in Text Banking and have added an account you also want included with your other accounts for Text Banking.
How: Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Preferences’ menu, select ‘Account Preferences’, choose the ‘Text Accounts’ tab and make your adjustments.  To have an account available in text banking it needs to have a checkmark for ‘Enable’, a number for ‘Order’, and a 4-character short name for ‘Display Name’.  Once you are done with your adjustments, press ‘Submit’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Delete an Alert you Added
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can delete an alert you previously added?  It is helpful to delete alerts you will no longer be using, to make it easier for you to identify and maintain your list of alerts.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Preferences’ menu, select ‘Alert Options’.  Locate the alert you want to delete and click the alert to highlight it.  From the toolbar, select the red X and then press ‘OK’.
