Online Banking Tip of the Day: View the List of Alerts you have Created
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can easily view the list of the alerts you have created?  This lets you see all of your active and inactive alerts, and is helpful for seeing what you want to add, adjust or delete.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Preferences’ menu, select ‘Alert Options’ to list the alerts you have created.  To the left of each active alert is a green circle with a checkmark, and each inactive alert a red circle with a minus sign.  Click the column header directly above the first circle to group alerts by active and inactive.  Click the column header again to reverse the order.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Speed Up How you Schedule Payments in CNBillPay
Did you know CNBillPay has a feature to help you speed up how you schedule payments?  Use ‘Shortcut’ to pre-load your bills based on your payment history.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  You can set ‘Shortcut’ as your default start page, or access it by selecting the ‘Shortcut’ box on the ‘home’ page.  ‘Shortcut’ opens the ‘Single Payment’ screen and will have specific payees already selected.  If needed uncheck or check payees to adjust and then continue through the steps to schedule your payments.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Select your Default Start Page for CNBillPay
Did you know with CNBillPay you can select what page you want to start each session from?  If you have a particular page you like to start from, this makes for less navigation and a more efficient bill pay session.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Options’ menu select ‘Default Settings’.  Under ‘Default Page’ select the radio button for either ‘Home’, ‘Single Payments’, ‘Shortcut’, ‘View Payees’ or ‘Calendar’ and press ‘Submit’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Return your Account Register to the Default View
Did you know in the Online Banking Center it is easy to return your account register back to your default view?  This is helpful for when you have adjusted how transactions are listed and now want to go back to the default view you created for that account.
How:  After using the search and/or sort options to adjust an account’s register.  Select ‘Search’ from the left side of the account register toolbar to view the ‘Search Criteria’ drop-down list. From the list choose ‘Default View’, and press ‘Submit’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: List All Available Transaction History for an Account
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can display all available transaction history for an account?  This is an easy way for you to adjust your account register, for when you want to view all transactions available.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and go to the register for the account you want to view.  Select ‘Search’ from the left side of the account register toolbar to view the ‘Search Criteria’ drop-down list.  From the list choose ‘All Available Transactions’, and press ‘Submit’ to adjust the register to display account history back to the ‘Oldest Transaction Available’.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Delete a Payee from CNBillPay
Did you know with CNBillPay it is easy to delete a payee?  Deleting a payee you no longer are making payments to helps to simplify your list of payees.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Payees’ menu, select ‘View Payees’.  Locate the payee you want to remove and press ‘Delete’.  Verify the payee listed is the one you want to delete, and then press ‘Delete Payee’.  It is important to know that once a payee is deleted that payment history to that payee is also deleted from CNBillPay.  If you still want to search payment history to a payee, do not delete that payee.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View Account Activity with the CNB App
Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can view transaction activity that took place on your account(s)?  This is a convenient way to look at recent account history for an account anywhere, anytime.
How:  Sign in to the app to view the ‘Dashboard’ screen, an overview that lists your accounts.  Select an account to view up to the last 100 transactions that took place on that account.  The date, a brief description and the dollar amount are listed for each transaction.  Scroll down to view older transactions.  To view and search transactions up to two years prior, you can log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and use the account register.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Submit a Request to Stop Payment on Check(s)
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can submit a stop payment request for a check?  When you need to place a stop payment on a single check or a series of checks, this is an easy and convenient way for you to do that.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Services’ menu, select ‘Stop Payment’.  Enter the information for your request, review what you entered, and then press ‘Submit’ to finalize the request.  Our standard stop payment fee applies for each request submitted.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Important Notice to Debit Card Customers Enrolled in MasterCard® SecureCode™
Did you know effective February 17th, 2015 a new enrollment is required to continue to have MasterCard® SecureCode™ protection?
How:  All customers currently enrolled in MasterCard SecureCode prior to February 17th, 2015 will need to complete a new enrollment to continue SecureCode protection.  MasterCard SecureCode is an additional level of security for debit card purchases made online with participating retailers.  This protection is available for all MasterCard Debit Card customers.  For additional information and to enroll in MasterCard SecureCode, visit CNBank.com/DebitCard. Online Banking Tip of the Day: Choose the Default Register Display for Each Account
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can choose the default to display transactions in the register, for each of your accounts?  For example, you may have an account where you only want 30 days of transactions displayed in the register, while you have another account where you want 150 transactions displayed.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Preferences’ menu, select ‘Account Preferences’.  From the ‘Type’ drop-down list, select ‘Days’ or ‘Items’, and then enter a number in the ‘#’ column.  Choose what you want for each of your accounts and then press ‘Submit’.  You can make adjustments to your ‘Account Preferences’ at any time.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Temporarily Lift Debit Card Restrictions for Vacation
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can submit a travel notification?  This is a nice feature to communicate to the bank when and where you will be traveling in order to temporarily lift restrictions for your debit card.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Services’ menu, select ‘Messages’.  From the toolbar in your mailbox, select ‘New’ to open a pop-up window for the message you want to send.  Choose ‘Travel Notification’ from the ‘To’ drop-down list and for the ‘Subject’ line enter Travel Notification.  Within the box, type your message and be sure to include the timeframe, location(s) and last 4 digits of your debit card(s).  When finished, press ‘Send’.  A travel notification should be submitted by each individual prior to leaving and can also be submitted with our Mobile Banking App.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Send CNB a Secure Message using your Mobile Device
Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can send a secure message to CNB?  Your mailbox within the online banking system is the most secure communication channel with CNB, and it is also available in our app.
How:  Sign in to the app and select ‘Messages’ from the main menu.  Press ‘New’, select which department your message is for, enter a ‘Subject’, select the space below the subject line and type your message.  Then press ‘Send’ to receive confirmation that your message was sent.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Get the CNB App for your Mobile Device

Did you know the CNB Mobile Online Banking App is available for you to download, free of charge?  Our app makes it convenient for you to check account balances, make transfers, pay bills and deposit checks using your mobile device.
How:  In the App Store℠ or the Google Play™ Store, search for “CNB Mobile” and look for the CNB logo.  Then download and install the app.  To use the Mobile App you must be enrolled in Online Banking with a User ID and Password.  To deposit a check using the app you must be enrolled in CNB Mobile Deposit.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Device Registration and Browser Cookies
Did you know when you register a device for online banking a browser cookie is used?  This cookie is a security measure to recognize a device for future use, and eliminates the need to request a secure access code when using a recognized device.  This is important to know if you encounter difficulty with registration or a device that you registered becomes unregistered.
How:  When you log in to the Online Banking Center on an unregistered device, you can choose ‘Register this computer for later use’ or ‘Give me one-time access only’.  When ‘Register this computer for later use’ is selected, a cookie is created to recognize your device for future use.  Depending on the browser or device, you may need to adjust the settings to accept cookies during the registration process.  If the cookie used to register your device is deleted, you will need to re-register that device.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Add Another CNB Online Banking Customer for Future Transfers
Did you know in the Online Banking Center you can add another CNB online banking customer’s account to your list of accounts to transfer to?  With this one-time process, the account will be listed and available for you to schedule transfers to, in both the Online Banking Center and the Mobile Banking app.
How:  Log in to the CNB Online Banking Center and from the ‘Transactions’ menu, select ‘Cross Customer Transfer Setup’.  Select the radio button for ‘Save recipient information…’ and press ‘Continue’.  Enter the ‘To Email Address’ and the ‘Last 4 Digits of CNB Account #’ (these should be obtained from the recipient), then press ‘Continue’.  Once the recipient information is saved, the account will be listed as a ‘To Account’, along with your other accounts for funds transfers.
