Online Banking Tip of the Day: Easily Identify Recurring Transfers in CNB Mobile App

Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can quickly identify your recurring transfers?  This is a helpful way to view transfers that are part of a scheduled series and to differentiate between single and recurring transfers.
How:  Sign in to the app and from the ‘Transactions’ section of the main menu, select ‘Transfer Money.’  For smartphones, press the ‘Activity’ button or swipe your finger right to left.  For tablets, activity is listed on the right side of the screen.  If a transfer is recurring, there will be an image of three arrows in a circle.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Schedule a CNBillPay Reminder from the Calendar

Did you know with CNBillPay you can start from the calendar to schedule a payment reminder?  Starting from the calendar gives you a visual display of the whole month, to help you select when you would like to receive a reminder to make a payment.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Calendar’ menu, select ‘View Calendar.’  Locate and click the box for the date you want to schedule a reminder.  Select the radio button for ‘I would like to schedule a reminder,’ press ‘Next,’ and continue through the steps to schedule your reminder.  The ‘Reminder Date’ will already be populated with the date you selected in the calendar.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View Method of Payment to CNBillPay Payees

Did you know with CNBillPay you can view the payment method (electronic or by check) to a payee?  This is helpful to know because the estimated delivery for electronic payments is two business days and payments by check is five business days.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Payees’ menu, select ‘View Payees.’  Listed under each payee is either ‘Electronic’ or ‘Check.’  The payment method associated with a payee is determined by what is available for that payee, and what was entered when you set up the payee.

Online Banking tip of the Day: Quickly View the Dollar Total of CNBillPay Payments by Month

Did you know with CNBillPay you can quickly view the total dollar amount for transactions in a specific month?  This feature lets you know what you spent or will be spending for a month to help you compare your monthly payments.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Calendar’ menu, select ‘View Calendar’ to display the current month.  To the left of the calendar is a box that displays dollar amounts for ‘Scheduled’ and ‘Past’ transactions.  Under those amounts is the ‘Total’ for the month.  To view prior months, press the left arrow at the top of the calendar and for future months, press the right arrow.

Did you know with CNBillPay you can start from the calendar to schedule a payment?  Starting from the calendar enables you to view your payment activity displayed in a calendar, to help you choose which date will be best for you to schedule a payment.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Calendar’ menu, select ‘View Calendar.’  Locate and click the box for the date you want to schedule a payment.  Select the radio button for ‘I would like to schedule a payment,’ press ‘Next,’ and continue through the steps to schedule your payment.  The ‘Process Date’ will already be populated with the date you selected in the calendar.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Use the CNB App to Schedule a Recurring Transfer

Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can schedule a recurring transfer?  This option enables you to easily schedule a series of transfers anytime, anywhere.
How:  Sign in to the app and from the ‘Transactions’ section of the main menu, select ‘Transfer Money.’  Select a ‘From’ and ‘To’ account, enter the ‘Amount,’ select a ‘Date’ in the future, and press the radio button for ‘REPEAT THIS TRANSACTION.’  This will open the ‘Schedule Recurring Transfer’ screen.  Choose how often to have the transfer repeat, select a date for the series to stop or select to have it repeat forever and press ‘Save.’  Verify the details and press ‘TRANSFER FUNDS’ to receive confirmation.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Search Transfers by Date in CNB Mobile App

Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can search for transfers by date?  This is useful to help you view only the transfers for a specific date.
How:  Sign in to the app and from the ‘Transactions’ section of the main menu, select ‘Transfer Money.’  For smartphones, press the ‘Activity’ button or swipe your finger right to left.  For tablets, activity is listed on the right side of the screen.  ‘Pending’ transfers are listed for future transactions, or press ‘Processed’ to search past transfers.  At the top of the screen tap ‘Search Transactions,’ type the date to search (for example 7/10/2015), and press ‘Done.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: CNB Mobile App Layout Differs on Tablet vs. Smartphone

Did you know the CNB Mobile App has a different layout on a tablet than on a smartphone?  This allows for an experience that corresponds best to the screen size of the device you are using.
How:  All menu options in the app are present on a tablet and a smartphone.  The variation in the layout depends on the type of device you are utilizing.  On a tablet the main menu is on the bottom of each screen with a side menu applicable to the screen displayed.  On a smartphone you swipe your finger left to right to access the main menu and right to left to access side menus applicable to the screen displayed.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Deposit a Check Anytime, Anywhere

Did you know with the CNB Mobile App you can deposit a check into your CNB checking or savings account?  CNB Mobile Deposit is a feature which enables you to deposit a check on your schedule without the need to go in to a bank office.
How:  To use ‘CNB Mobile Deposit’ you need to have the CNB Mobile App installed and completed the ‘Mobile Deposit Enrollment' process.  Sign in to the app and from the ‘Transactions’ section of the main menu, select ‘Deposit Check.’  Press ‘To’ and select an account to deposit to.  Enter the ‘Check Number’ and the ‘Amount’ of the check being deposited, then press ‘Capture Image.’  Follow the steps to capture an image of the front and back of the check.  Verify the details and images for the deposit, then press ‘Submit Deposit.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: CNB Mobile App on Smartphones has Swipe Functionality

Did you know the CNB Mobile App on a smartphone has swipe functionality?  This enables you to easily move between menu options within the app.
How:  Open the CNB Mobile App on your smartphone and sign in to open the ‘Dashboard’ screen, an overview of your accounts.  From this screen you can swipe your finger left to right and right to left, to access different menu options.  The app always starts from the ‘Dashboard’ screen, but each screen has swipe functionality with menu options that correspond to that screen.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Download a CNBillPay Reminder into Your Outlook Calendar

Did you know with CNBillPay you can download a reminder into your Outlook Calendar?  This is an easy way for you to automatically sync the information from a reminder right into your Outlook Calendar.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  A reminder can be downloaded at the time you create it or when you are viewing your list of reminders.  In the details for each reminder is a ‘Download Reminder to:’ option.  Click the link to the right that says ‘My Microsoft Outlook Calendar.’  Press ‘Open’ to have the details from that reminder prefilled in a new appointment.  When finished press ‘Save & Close’ to have this payment reminder added to your Outlook Calendar.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Remove a Challenge Phrase from CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can remove a challenge phrase?  This is a nice option if you have a challenge phrase that you have forgotten the response to or no longer wish to use.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Options’ menu, select ‘Challenge Phrases.’  Enter your response to the challenge phrase presented and press ‘Submit.’  ‘Your current Challenge Phrases’ are listed, press ‘Remove’ next to a phrase to remove it.  You are required to have at least four phrases at all times, so if removing a phrase will drop you under four you must first add a new one.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View a List of Your CNBillPay Reminders

Did you know with CNBillPay you can view a list of the payment reminders you scheduled?  This is an easy way to view the reminders you have scheduled, to help you see if any need to be added or removed.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Calendar’ menu, select ‘Reminders.’  On the left under ‘Reminder Options,’ press ‘View Reminders,’ and choose the radio button for the type of payee.  A list of your scheduled reminders for the selected payee type will be displayed.  One time reminders are followed by recurring reminders and listed in alphabetical order within each section.

Online Banking Tip of the Day: Add Challenge Phrases in CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can add challenge phrases?  Challenge phrases are used within CNBillPay for additional security.  Select phrases and enter responses that are easy for you to remember, but are not known by others.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Options’ menu, select ‘Challenge Phrases.’  Enter your response to the challenge phrase presented and press ‘Submit.’  Use the drop-down menu to select a challenge phrase to add, create ‘Your Response’ to the phrase, and press ‘Add.’

Online Banking Tip of the Day: View Payment Reminders From the Calendar in CNBillPay

Did you know with CNBillPay you can view your payment reminders from the calendar?  This is an easy way to see when you have reminders scheduled and access the details of the reminders for a selected date.
How:  Access ‘CNBillPay’ within the Online Banking Center.  From the ‘Calendar’ menu, select ‘View Calendar.’  To change the month, select the arrow to the left or right of the month at the top of the calendar.  A ‘Reminder’ link is displayed for each date you have a scheduled reminder, along with the number of reminders you have for that date.  Select the link to display the information for the reminders scheduled on that date.  The calendar only displays information for dates that payments can be processed on.  If you created a reminder to occur on a date that payments are not processed, it will not be displayed on the calendar.
