Debit Card Fraud Protection

Your CNB Mastercard® Debit Card is protected by a fraud detection program called EnFactSM that monitors debit card and ATM transactions for potentially fraudulent activity. For your protection, you may receive a text, email, or phone call to verify a transaction or to further authenticate you.

  • Fraud text notifications will be sent to the cardholder from 37268.
  • The text will contain the merchant name and dollar amount for review.
  • Simply confirm or deny the validity of the transaction by replying YES or NO.
  • Valid transactions will require no further action.
  • Suspected fraudulent transactions will result in a request that you contact us.
  • If a text response is not received within 15 minutes, or if we do not have a text-enabled phone number on file, you will be contacted by phone.

One-Time Passcode at Online Checkout:

  • Online transactions may require verification at checkout with a one-time passcode.
  • One-time passcode text messages will be sent to the cardholder from 33072. Email messages will be sent from noreply@enfactnotifications.com.
  • Once received, enter the one-time passcode as requested at checkout to complete your purchase.

Protect Yourself

  1. Canandaigua National Bank won't initiate an outbound call to you and request a one-time passcode, online banking username, or password.
  2. We won’t ask you for your full debit card number, PIN, CVV code, or card expiration date out of the blue.
  3. Our Fraud Services team may contact you via text or call to validate debit card transactions. Text / SMS messages related to these notifications will only ever come from short code 37268 or 33702.
  4. SMS / text messages to validate transactions from us will not contain links. If you receive a similar message with a hyperlink, do not engage.
  5. We’ll never call you to pressure you into responding to an SMS message – please take the time to read a text message carefully before responding.

Travel Notifications

If you will be using your debit card while traveling, please contact us to let us know the dates and destination, so that we can provide this information to Fraud Prevention Services in order to prevent your card from being blocked due to "out of the ordinary transactions."  You can add Travel Notifications using Manage My Debit Card.
